Agricultural nutrient loading under alternative climate, societal and manure recycling scenarios

چکیده
This paper introduces a framework for extending global climate and socioeconomic scenarios in order to study agricultural nutrient pollution on an individual catchment scale. Our builds extends Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) Shared Socioeconomic (SSPs) at the spatial temporal scales that are relevant drivers of animal husbandry, manure recycling application inorganic fertilisers crop production. case area is Aura river South-West Finland, which discharges into heavily eutrophic Baltic Sea. The has intensive agriculture — both livestock Locally adjusted interpreted were used as inputs field-level economic optimisation how farmers might react changing markets conditions under different SSPs. results economically optimal fertilisation levels then spatially temporally explicit loading model (VEMALA). Alternative strategies matched with SSP narratives studied means reduce phosphorus (P) overfertilisation areas high density. According our simulations, average P loads increased by 18% during 2071–2100 from current level variation between was large (from ?14% +50%). By contrast, nitrogen (N) had decreased ?9% (with ?20% +3%) end century. Phosphorus most sensitive speed change. Nitrogen less changes drivers.

Modelling Shea under Climate Scenarios
Distribution data describing the current shea range were obtained from John Hall (University of Wales, Bangor); for details, see previous reports and Vitellaria paradoxa: a monograph (Hall et al., 1996). In 2010, these records were supplemented with shea plot data from Burkina Faso, Mali and Ghana, and with the collection localities of herbarium specimens held at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew ...

Uncertainty Investigation of Precipitation and Temperature Scenarios for the Sira Basin under Climate Change Impact
Results of assessment of the future climate change impacts is associated with some uncertainties. Considering the range of uncertainties increases reliability of the results. In this study, climate change impacts on daily precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature of Sira basin are assessed using LARS-WG model, for 2036-65 period. Accordingly, uncertainty of new emissions scenarios (RCP2.6،...
متن کاملModeling Current and Future Potential Distributions of Caspian Pond Turtle (Mauremys caspica) under Climate Change Scenarios
Although turtles are the most threatened taxonomic group within the reptile class, we have a very limited understanding of how turtles respond to climate change. Here, we evaluated the effects of climate changes on the geographical distribution of Caspian pond turtle (Mauremys caspica). We used an ensemble approach by combining six species distribution models including artificial neural network...
متن کاملInvestigation of Hanwoo manure management and estimation of nutrient loading coefficients on land application
BACKGROUND In order to prepare for the regulation about the limit of manure production, the status of manure management and the amount of nutrients in the compost discharged from Hanwoo breeding farm shall be known. This study aimed to find the practical amount of nutrients (volatile solids, VS; total nitrogen, T-N; total phosphorus, T-P) in manure, and compost samples collected from 40 Hanwoo ...
